This elegant mansion near Phoenix was constructed between 1929-31 for chewing gum mogul William Wrigley Jr. as a 50th anniversary gift to his wife. Wrigley Mansion's architecture is a combination of Spanish, California Monterey and Mediterranean styles and sits atop a 100-foot tall hill overlooking Phoenix. The Wrigley family sold the estate in 1973 and after have several more owners, the late Geordie Hormel and his wife Jamie purchased the Arizona treasure in 1992. The property was restored to its former glory and opened to the public for events, dining and tours. It is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
